Hi, I’m Lily!

Welcome to Milkmaid Meats!

I’m the owner, farmer, and milkmaid behind Milkmaid Meats. My love of dairy and agriculture was sparked in high school when I started milking for a local dairy. I spent time working on two dairies in Vermont and raised horses, chickens, llamas and a single goat on my family’s small farm.

I decided to pursue my passion for agriculture and attended Montana State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a focus in Livestock Management.  I met my husband, Kyle Andersen, while at MSU and started working on his family’s ranch before graduating in 2016. The Skattum-Andersen Ranch is a multi-generational dairy and cattle ranch in Paradise Valley in Livingston, Montana.

Currently, I own and operate Milkmaid Meats, work on our family dairy, and am part owner in the Spurline, a local feed store.

My great grandfather-in-law started milking cows here in Paradise Valley in the late 1950’s. The 1970’s brought extra hay so he bought beef cows and that's how we still operate today.

Whether you want to order my products, ask questions,

or just want to visit about Montana agriculture,

I’d love to hear from you!
